"Bone Before Flight" is short fast stuff, using arcade 8bit chip type noise, in the earlier stages anyway, produced in New Zealand during spring and summer 2020 in Omiha on Waiheke island near Auckland.

Tom Cadillac is not a NewBe in music but discover the experimental side of eleKtroniK soundz since only four years ago. Tom identify him now as a noise artist. This is a misleading shorthand. The main point of inspiration was the noise devise tom originally heard and the songs were built on it. He use sampling a lot and he could hear in his head what could happen if these sounds were sampled.

Tom Cadillac took a lot of effort with this work, most of the original tracks were discarded, too much the same work. But the ending result is incredibly confusing. You will listen to a sounding adventure where the reification of the idea of ​​a heavy live squat sound is not just an attitude!

Tom said that "sound is better than silence and noise is better than pop confectionary". "Bone Before Flight" have with no doubt this ramblking kind of attitude which pushes the listener into a maze of sounds close to certain neo Punk-Wave influences but with a new and free intuitive eleKtroniK approach to sampling.

It is certain that Tom Cadillac uses his long experience as a musician and easily takes you on powerful sounding wanderings which remind everyone that "underground" production is always on the move, on the lookout for the future. There's is also some urgency feeling listening to these traxx like being in living spaces disaffected but filled with people gathered for an event of palpable density, well, something like that. ACE work, essential for ECTO's creed.

I asked Tom what "Bone Before Flight" means. Here is his answer:
" ... maybe stripping back to the least weight before movement? ... I'd like to think of it as poetry."
